Will I be able to verify information that goes on the website?
Yes! Scorpion will be importing information provided to us from Merry Maids
corporate. Four weeks before the launch of the website Scorpion will send
out emails with access to a "Setup Wizard" which will guide you through
the review of the information that was provided by corporate that will
be shown on the website. At this time, you will be able to make changes
or discuss needed changes with your Scorpion Marketing Manager.
What is the call tracking number, and why do I need it? Will you be using
my current online tracking number?
The website call tracking number allows you to know exactly what leads
are coming from your internet marketing efforts. This number will ring
to the routing number provided to Scorpion from Merry Maids. Your current
call tracking numbers from Yodel will be ported over to Scorpion and will
continue working.
Can I have different tracking numbers on different online directories?
No. Having your name, address, and phone number consistent across the internet
directly affects your organic rankings on search engine results pages.
Google places a heavy emphasis on this consistency when it comes to your
business' visibility, so our team will be actively working on finding
inconsistencies and correcting them for your business.
If I work from home, can I use a post office box or UPS store address for
my business?
No. While this used to be the case, Google recently changed its policies
and no longer accepts these as physical business addresses. The good news
is we can use a home address and hide it online so that it’s visible to
search engines, but not to the general public.
Why do you need usernames and passwords to my directories and social media?
Can I just add you as an admin?
In order to make updates and keep your name, address, and phone number
consistent, as well as update profiles with corporate imagery, we will
need access to your various directories. To add us as an administrator,
let us know and we’ll give you the email address you’ll need.
Will there be a map on my website of my service area? Can I change what
cities it shows?
Yes, there will be a map. The service area shown will be pulled directly
from the zip codes provided to Scorpion from Merry Maids.
Where do my phone leads and contact forms go that come in from the website?
In the Setup Wizard, you will be able to input where you would like your
call tracking number to ring to, as well as what email you would like
contact forms to go to. These can be changed at any time on the fly, you
would just need to contact your Scorpion Marketing Manager.
Will I see a drop in organic rankings when the new site is launched?
It is very common to see a slight dip in rankings while the new site is
indexed by Google. However, upon full indexing of the site, rankings generally
soar higher than before.
Will you help me solicit new reviews for my online profiles?
Absolutely! We have a fantastic review request system to help with this.
All you would need to do is input the first names and emails of happy
customers into the system. Afterwards, those customers will receive an
email that appears to be from you with easy access to leave a review on
any of your online profiles.
Do you offer digital/online advertising?
Yes, we absolutely do! Once your website is live, Scorpion will offer a
variety of digital advertising solutions including PPC (pay-per-click),
displays & remarketing ads, social advertising (Facebook, Instagram, etc.),
video advertising on YouTube & Facebook, gMail ads, remarketing & much
much more! The management fee is even included in your monthly budget!

During the transition period to Scorpion, should I adjust any of my current
marketing efforts?
Scorpion highly encourages you to continue with your current advertising
strategy and to consider further investment in tactics that have been
working well for you. When you turn off something like PPC it not only
cuts off a lead avenue, it also decreases your brand awareness among consumers.
We would like to see your location show up within the Search Engine Results
Page as many times as possible throughout the results, both in paid and organic.
Do you think we should plan to spend about the same on digital marketing
in 2019 as we did in 2018?
Budgets will vary by location so, unfortunately, we are not able to give
a one-size-fits-all answer. We will work with each location to create
a customized plan that fits their market. While currently much of the
strategy is focused on just one or two services, Scorpion would like to
work with you to diversify and expand beyond your current tactics once
we identify your goals. Your marketing manager will be reaching out in
January to talk through specifics and provide recommendations based on
your current spend and future goals.
